Alison Broughton, Skipper of The Travel Desk
I fell in love with travelling and haven’t looked back. The first half of my career was focused on adventure travel, then as my career expanded to River Cruising, Luxury Travel to my repertoire. I am currently on the Advisory Board for Travel Leaders Canada. When not working I am spending time with family. I have travelled to Peru, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Mexico and all over the Caribbean. When pushed; I will say my fav vacation is "the last one”
Lisa Ziehr: Flip Flops and Tank Tops
With a passion for travel Lisa looks forward to making your dreams a reality. She has travelled extensively throughout Mexico, Bahamas, Cuba, with plenty of stops in Florida, California, Arizona, and Las Vegas. Her future destinations include exploring Europe, and taking those flip flops to the South Pacific. When she is not traveling with her husband (the camera man haha) she enjoys researching new destinations, spending quality time with her family; sitting by the campfire, dirt biking, when it’s not too cold snowmobiling, and hanging out with all her 4 legged friends. Lisa looks forward to creating your vacation from sun and sand to cruising to creating the prefect destination wedding!
Jacquie Kuhl
What can I say about my life and travel? Can't wait to go on my next adventure!
Travel to me is about experiences. Yes, I love to cruise, have been on 12 ocean and 1 river, but we always look for experiences in each destination. For me, just sitting soaking up the sun and drinking a beverage is just one part of being somewhere but I get bored. Now, walking the streets of a new city and taking in the smells, hearing the sounds of the area, seeing the art, watching the people going through their day, and seeing how we are all the same even while we are all different. Going out of the city and spending time taking in the different landscapes, different animals, seeing the different birds. Watching the water, whether in a stream or the middle of the ocean, change colour, waves breaking, waterfalls crashing, glaciers calving, weather forming. It is all amazing to me. Sunsets over the water, from atop a high rise, from a chalet in the mountains, are all spectacular. Full moon and stars cruising the Strait of Magellan, crossing the Pacific or Atlantic, or on the Amazon River, seeing the Southern Cross are all magical.
I have been to Europe a number of times and travelled around by car, train, bus, and cruise. I have been to South America a couple of times. My latest trip was to Peru to experience a cruise on the Amazon River which turned out to be an exceptional adventure. I am still in awe of what that week brought to my life, it was incredible! We have been to Machu Picchu and around Cape Horn. Still need to go to the Galapagos and Easter Island!
Anyway, enough about me. Let me know what it is that you want to experience on your next trip. Let's make the planning part of the joy of the trip. My job is to make sure that you have the experience you want and expect.
Thank you for taking the time to read this bio and I look forward to working for you!
Kristen "New Trip, New Shoes" McHausler
Kristen was born with the travel bug (super incurable) and even though she's tried to suppress it (okay, she hasn't really tried *that* hard), the travel bug runs strong in her.
She has explored parts of Europe, Central America, bits of the Caribbean, Canada & the USA, however she still has so much more to knock off her list!
Top destinations include Germany & Costa Rica, and her absolute favourite thing to do is travelling off-season in a brand new pair of shoes. Her favourite pair (Germany) were worn out before her trip was even over!
Quirky trait? She loves all random hobbies, and intends to try as many at least once in her lifetime (including but not limited to playing the Ukulele, cake decorating, knitting, calligraphy and more).
Brenda Seipert, Beach Addict
Brenda is the Lamont Branch of our team, and comes with quite extensive travel history. She has travelled to Disneyland, Las Vegas, Jamaica, Cuba (Loves Havana), just about everywhere in Mexico along the coast (land and cruise) and the Bahamas. She loves sea-dooing, para-sailing, touring tequila factories; all in a days work for this Grandmother of 4! She's also traveled to Finland, Norway and Sweden. When she's not running her farm you can find her camping and fishing. Fun fact? She was a Deputy Firefighter for 15 years and an EMT as well!
